SESSION PRICING AND POLICY
Making an appointment for the first time – information needed:
*Advise the number of horses/animals you are booking so I can allocate the correct amount of time for each.
* Send a brief report on each of them; species/breed, age, health concerns, injuries, medications and treatments (including injections, vaccinations and worming if recent), history, what their job is etc….a more detailed discussion can take place over the phone or in person.
* Advise your location as travel time also needs to be factored in – unless appointments are at a fixed location in which case the address will be provided to you.
* Provide your phone number and advise how you would like to pay your booking deposit (direct deposit or via square link which will be sent via text message).
*A 50% booking deposit must be paid immediately (within 24 hours). The balance will be due at the time of your session (cash, card, square link, direct deposit). If you wish to pay in full at the time of booking you may do so. Invoices are provided on request.
* After 24 hours, if the deposit has not been received the appointment space will be open to the next person. Your deposit confirms your appointment.
* Scheduling appointments – this takes some doing, so if after 24 hours I have not had a response I will move onto the next person as there are other clients waiting.
** Please take note of the cancellation policy below.
* Session requirements – access to power, shelter available and your horse either tied up, stabled or held. Let me know if there is no power available and I will bring a generator. Please make sure your horse is clean, free from topical agents (dressings covered) and ready when I arrive as I am on a schedule, and due to the nature of animals and traffic, sometimes I am already running late despite allowances.
How do I make an appointment?
Please contact by phone, email or Facebook messenger. If you do not receive an automated response via Facebook please try again as it has been known to glitch in the past. If I am travelling then it may be a day or two before I am able to get back to you as the days usually start very early, finish very late and often have a lot of driving involved. Please bear with me – I will get back to you:)
If you are already on the list for your area, a text message will be sent out with information for visits to your area. A prompt response is necessary to make an appointment. No response means you may miss out.
To secure an appointment, you MUST pay a 50% non-refundable* deposit the day the appointment is made, or the same day the deposit link is sent to you. No deposit, no appointment.
A lot is involved in scheduling a run to different areas, so confirming appointments early on ensures you will not miss out. If you wish to book several sessions in advance you may do so. Please take note of the cancellation policy below.
If you book your appointment online, please ensure the dates you select match the planned visit dates to your area. I will be in touch to confirm the day/time and fee total. This will vary with numbers and travel location.
What is the difference between the different sessions?
#First time session – 60 to 90 minutes
This is for horses that have not had a PEMF therapy session with me before, or if they have it was more than 12 months ago. It will involve talking, assessing, introducing the horse to myself and PEMF and finding any areas of interest during the full body session to focus on.
#Standard session – 45 to 60 minutes
This is for those who have regular PEMF therapy, or have had a session for this horse within the last 12 months. It involves a full body session, including their head, and spending a little extra time on any areas of interest if necessary.
#Deluxe session – 90 minutes +
This involves a full body standard session, as well as the legs and hooves. If your horse is involved in a sport that puts a lot of stress on the legs, you have an older horse with arthritic changes, a degenerative disease or an injury you are rehabbing, then this is a must.
My horse is only small. Can I have a discount?
No. Size makes no difference – the same amount of care and attention goes into all horses, big and small.
I only need the legs done. Can we skip the body session?
No. The whole body is connected, so even if an issue appears to be in one area, the rest of the body is still impacted. A full body session will always be done.
My horse is injured or rehabbing – Can I book more than one session in a week?
Yes – You may require several sessions in a month, fortnight, week, or even daily in which case full body sessions will be alternated with the focus area – this will be tailored to your horses individual situation and needs.
Travel fees – this is at my discretion, there is a lot more involved than just the price of fuel.
I am not near Katanning – how much is a session?
Travel sessions are charged at the session rate, plus travel costs. These travel costs are spread out over everyone, so the greater the number of horses, the greater the saving.
If a stable facility is used as a base for PEMF sessions, it will be more cost and time effective, meaning there is more time to spend focusing on your horses and dogs!
What areas are classed as “Katanning” areas?
Towns of Katanning, Gnowangerup, Wagin, Kojonup, Dumbleyung, Nyabing, Tambellup, etc….. Please provide your address when making an enquiry. Some of these shires are quite extensive so some rural areas may have a small travel fee added.
**Cancellation policy
48 hours – see below. Booking deposits are non-refundable.
Local areas – 48 hours before day of appointment.
Travel areas – 48 hours before the trip commences.
Last minute cancellations may be charged in Full.
If you cancel due to wet weather because you do not have shelter – you will be charged in full as shelter is specified as necessary. (see weather considerations below)
Bookings will not be taken from those with outstanding fees.
Some exemptions may apply.
I would like a visit but can’t get enough numbers for my area..
If you would like a visit, please let us know! Chances are others in your area have done the same – or you may be able to be added to an existing travel run, or meet at an area nearby.
Other options are to share posts with your friends or local Facebook groups or organise a group booking at a specified location.
I can’t be at my horses session – can it still go ahead or do I need to be there?
For first time sessions there must be someone present – preferably yourself – so that we can meet, discuss your horses and their sessions. But after this, if you have a small paddock, yard or stable to leave your horse in, have a safe tie up area (and your horse is well mannered) then yes! Your horse can still have their PEMF session if you can’t be there. Photos and video will be taken during the session and sent to you afterwards.
Payment
Direct deposit, cash and Eftpos and Square link
Booking deposits must be paid within 24 hours of making your appointment or receiving your payment link. For direct deposits please send a screenshot of yourreceipt.
Any balances owing must be paid in full on the day.
Covid (and other serious illnesses)
If you are in isolation, feeling unwell or have been in contact with someone who has been unwell please do not attend your appointment. Your equine session may still be able to go ahead so please contact to discuss this option.
If needed, I will provide my own halter and lead, catch your horse and return them to their paddock/stable after their session. Hand sanitiser is used regularly as is wearing a mask when required.
I am the only one who touches my equipment and it is thoroughly cleaned between sessions.
Weather considerations
Shelter is a must!
Shade is necessary on sunny days and somewhere waterproof when it is raining. This may be a stable or a garage – up to you. If the weather is nice, yes, we can work in the paddock.
The weather can at times be unpredictable, and appointments are often made before a forecast is available. If the temperature exceeds 35 degrees and there is no access to cooler facilities to work under, then appointments will need to be rescheduled. This is for the comfort of the horse and myself.
Dogs and pets can be pulsed indoors in air-conditioning, so the temperatures outside are not as much of an issue.
In hot weather make sure your animals are well hydrated – before and after their sessions! In winter make sure they also drink plenty of water, particularly if it is very cold. Some horses may not drink enough if it is too cold.
Hydration is necessary to flush out any toxins after PEMF therapy (just like massage). Don’t forget about electrolytes either. Speak with your vet about your pets needs in extreme temperatures.
If the conditions are wet, make sure your horse (and dog) is dry and the shelter you have is sound. The PEMF machine can not get wet.
If you are caught out by a surprise sun-shower and your horse got wet, make sure he is clean and mostly dry. Unless he is having a massage, we can still work with a damp horse.
**Should there be lightening present then sessions will be re-scheduled. This is a safety precaution.
Rugs and bandages
If it is cold and your horse needs to keep his/her rug on, yes! We can work around these, as with bandages – if the bandages are covering any dressings or topical agents, the ingredients of these will need to be cleared by your vet to pulse over. PEMF can potentially increase the bodies metabolism and absorption, and increasing the absorption rate of some topical agents through the skin may not be advised. If the horse has a topical agent that is not covered, please cover it for the session or remove it, as it could damage or stain my equipment.
Bookings at hired venues
When bringing your horse to an outside venue for their session please abide by the rules of the owner or organisation of that property.
If you would like to offer your facility as a base for sessions in your area, please get in touch! I have my own insurance, but you may need to check yours also.
Videos and photos
You may take video/photos of your horses session. If you intend to share it on social media please ask anyone who is in the picture/video first. It is common courtesy.
I find it difficult to take photos and videos whilst I am working but love to share on my Facebook page so please tag Kalreign Performance PEMF!
You are welcome to share your competition successes also – It’s always great to see these guys in action and to know we are making a difference! Tag @Kalreign Performance PEMF or #kalreignperformancepemf in your Facebook or Instagram posts if you would like to share it to the Kalreign pages as well.
